Course Objectives:

Understand the principles and philosophy of Positive Behaviour Support.

Learn to identify and assess the underlying causes of challenging behaviors.

Explore strategies for developing individualised support plans that promote positive behavior.

Gain skills in implementing proactive and reactive strategies to manage behaviors effectively.

Learn techniques for enhancing communication and building supportive relationships.

Understand the role of environment and lifestyle in influencing behavior.

Develop skills in evaluating and adjusting support plans to ensure effectiveness.

This course is suitable for healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff, who work with individuals displaying challenging behaviors.

Mode: In-person training only

Assessment: Practical scenarios and written assessment

Certification:

Participants will receive a Positive Behaviour & Support (PBS) Certificate upon successful completion, valid for 2 years.

 

Healthcare Legislations including MHA 1983, MCA 2005, Health and Social Care Act 2008.
